The Race For Grace

Mark your calendar to run or walk in the 15th annual 5K Race For Grace on Saturday, July 14, 2012. Starting time is 8:00 A.M. at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 7th and Spencer, near downtown, Logansport, IN.

Following the race, participants are welcome to enjoy refreshments available near the Registration Table and in Bigler Hall. Refreshments will include fruit and home-made cookies baked by the Logansport Great Banquet Community.

The goal of the event is to raise funds to assist in the activities of the Logansport Great Banquet. The Great Banquet is an orderly, structured 72-hour weekend designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christians and contribute to the renewal of the church.

The registration fee prior to July 14, 2012, is $12. Registration on the day of the race is $15.

Make your check payable to "The Logansport Great Banquet" and mail it with your entry form to:

T-shirts designed by Danielle Howard, a student at Indiana University/ Bloomington, will be given to all registrants. If you preregister, pick up your T-shirt and bib number (computer chip will be imbedded in the bib) in Bigler Lobby from 6:30-7:45 a.m. on July 14. Race day registration will be from 6:30-7:45 a.m. on the table in front of the wooden doors of the church.

Other Information

• The race will again be computer chip-timed to insure accuracy of results for all participants.
• Traffic control at all major intersections will be provided.
• The awards ceremony will be held in Bigler Hall, which is air conditioned. There will be drawings for many door prizes donated by Logansport area businesses. There will also be a $100 cash drawing. You must be present to win!!
• We are most grateful to our major sponsors without whose generous financial support the Race for Grace would not be possible. The names of our race sponsors are printed on the back of the T-shirts.

Awards

The awards ceremony will follow the Race in the church’s Bigler Hall. Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female winners, to the top three male and female finishers in the 15-18 and 19-24 age categories, and to the top two male and female finishers in the other age categories.
